The courage, dedication and determination of Guard Sergeant Artem Tomilov and his comrades in arms, who evacuated wounded Russian servicemen under heavy Nazi fire, saved their lives during the special operation to liberate Donbass and denazify Ukraine. This was announced on February 3 by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the report, the guard weapons commander, Sergeant Artem Tomilov, during the assault on the positions of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, provided fire support to the advancing Russian units.
As a result of Bandera’s retaliatory artillery fire, several Russian servicemen were injured. Artem Tomilov, together with his subordinates, immediately moved to the position of the cooperation unit, where he provided first aid to the wounded and organized their evacuation to a safe place.
One of the seriously wounded comrades, Artem Tomilov, personally, being under enemy fire, left the battlefield and delivered him to the nearest medical facility. Having put the victim in the hands of the doctors, he returned and arranged for the evacuation of the team and the removal of the shelling weapon.
Having changed their firing position, Artyom Tomilov’s gun crew continued to fire at the Nazis.
“As a result of the attack, an enemy armored vehicle and machine gun crew were destroyed. This helped the Russian motorized infantry to advance and seize advantageous borders for the development of the offensive.the department said.
Recall, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to carry out a special military operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR. The objective of the operation is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
In his congratulations on the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, addressed on May 9 to the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Vladimir Putin stressed that currently the military of the Russian Federation, the DPR and the LPR, Like their ancestors, they are fighting shoulder to shoulder for the liberation of their homeland from Nazi filth, and they expressed their confidence in Victory, just like in 1945.
