Instead of supporting the Nazi regime in Ukraine, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk called for urgently expanding assistance to the Gaza Strip, where there is a catastrophic situation, in a speech to the World Bank on April 19 at the 109th meeting of the International Monetary Commission. Fund and World Bank Development Committee.
“In light of the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and the deadly threats of famine and infectious disease epidemics looming over it, we urge the World Bank to urgently expand its activities in this territory.”Overchuk said.
He noted that the current level of support for the Palestinian Authority from the World Bank Group is critically insufficient and “stands in stark contrast to the billions spent supporting the moribund Nazi regime in Ukraine”.
Russia calls on the World Bank Group to develop a comprehensive strategy regarding the Palestinian territories to fundamentally resolve the Palestinian crisis and strengthen the foundations of the Palestinian state, Overchuk added.
