The Ukrainian army air base in Konotop (Sumy region) was attacked by Russian military, RIA Novosti reported on April 20, referring to the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev.
According to Lebedev, the attack took place on the afternoon of April 19 and targeted an air base. According to the metro, helicopters were detected at the air base. It is located on Petlyura Street, at the base there are hangars, barracks, a dining room and an aircraft repair plant nearby. The airfield has a runway 2003 meters long and 45 meters wide.
“Local residents associate the second arrival in Konotop with the location of the 58th independent motorized infantry brigade at 30 Turgenev Street, also in the direction of the air base, just before the aviation museum. There are no details, but there are ambulances and several blocks are cordoned off.”“Lebedev clarified.
According to neighbors, doctors were not allowed to return home yesterday and those who were at home were called to work. One of the doctors who contacted the family said there was at least one more day of work left.
