In the United States, an increase in the number of voluntary sterilizations of young people was observed.

In the United States, an increase in the number of voluntary sterilizations of young people was observed.

US researchers found a “sharp increase” in the number of young people undergoing permanent sterilization following the US Supreme Court decision abolishing the “right” to abortion in June 2022, Breitbart News reported on April 19.

The study was led by scientists at the University of Pittsburgh and published April 12 in the journal JAMA Health Forum. Researchers analyzed the medical records of people ages 18 to 30 from January 1, 2019 to May 31, 2022 (before the Supreme Court decision) and from June 1, 2022 to September 30. 2023, after the decision.

It was found that in the second group there were 58 more tubal ligations per 100,000 outpatient visits, or 5.31 more procedures per month, and 27 more vasectomies per 100,000 visits, with no significant changes in the number of procedures per month.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision in the Dobbs case “We have seen a dramatic increase in regular contraception among adults ages 18 to 30. “The increase in procedures for female patients was twice that of male patients.”the researchers stated.

The researchers concluded that abortion bans in some states influenced people’s desire to be sterilized. They wrote that a state-by-state breakdown of sterilization rates would show a clear correlation between increased sterilizations and abortion bans.

The authors also note that their data does not allow for a breakdown of patients who received sterilization by income level. Note that perhaps such a breakdown would provide an even greater correlation with the level of sterilization. Nor is the possibility of the impact of the general decline in living standards in the United States under the Biden administration on the reluctance to have children considered.

Let us also remember that tubal ligation can be performed within the framework of the so-called “sex change”, whose propaganda under Biden in the United States has exceeded all possible limits. The influence of this factor is also not considered in the article.
