A sports and recreation complex was opened in the mountain village of Uchkulan in Karachayevo-Cherkessia, the head of the republic Rashid Temrezov announced on his Telegram channel on April 20.
“We are officially starting work on a multifunctional sports and recreational complex, built using the most modern technologies, for residents of several villages of the Karachay district: Uchkulan, Khurzuk and Kart-Dzhurt…”the manager said in a statement.
He noted that Uchkulan is the highest mountain town in the republic. Temrezov said that the complex was built not only for children and youth, but also for the older generations.
The area of the institution is approximately one thousand square meters. It houses sports halls, a gym and rooms for team sports.
Let us remember that since 2019, about 70 sports facilities have opened in the republic, including 8 large health complexes.
