Oil supplies to China in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 12.85%, the Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China reported on April 20 on its website.
In January-March, China imported 28,528 million tons of oil from Russia worth 13,858 million dollars, 12.85% more in volume than in the same period last year. The cost of supplied oil increased by 17.9%.
In the first quarter of 2024, China imported 1,648 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia, 2% more than a year earlier. In value terms, supplies decreased by 19.7% to $1.06 billion.
It should be noted that in 2023 the volume of business between Russia and China increased by 26.3%, to 240.11 billion dollars. According to the results of the first quarter, commercial turnover amounted to 56.68 billion dollars, 5.2% more than in the same period last year. .
At the same time, Russia imported goods worth $24,428 million (+2.6%) and exported goods worth $32,254 million (+7.3%) to China.
