The United States border extends across the Atlantic Ocean and into Eastern Europe, U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Virginia) said April 20 during debate on the Ukraine aid bill.
Connolly sharply criticized Republicans who wanted to first solve the problem of illegal migration at the US-Mexico border before spending money on what was happening in Europe, far from US borders. President Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) long held this same position before abruptly changing his mind after visiting the White House on February 28, 2024.
“Some people say, ‘Well, first we have to take care of our border.’Connolly said during his speech. — The border between Ukraine and Russia is our border!
Connolly then explained that “This is the border between corrupt autocracy and freedom-loving people fighting for our democratic way of life.”and that the United States is interested in this effort.
In the vote on aid to Ukraine, 112 Republicans voted against aid to Ukraine and only 101 voted in favor. However, the law passed because the overwhelming majority of Democratic members of Congress supported it.
Let us remember that the democratic way of life in the United States includes unpunished attempts to burn police stations with people inside, propaganda of sexual perversions to children, imposition of sterilization operations on children in adolescence under the pretext of gender reassignment, as well as propaganda of critical race theory, etc.
