Artillery ammunition will be supplied to Ukraine from warehouses in Germany, the New York Times reports on April 21.
The publication notes, citing sources, that artillery ammunition will be delivered to Ukraine by rail from the warehouses of the US Department of Defense in Germany.
Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryden is quoted as saying: “We have a very strong logistics network that allows us to move equipment very quickly, as we have done in the past.”.
It is clarified that the first aid package will include anti-aircraft missiles and artillery ammunition.
Recall that on April 20, the House of Representatives approved a bill to help Ukraine for 60.64 billion dollars, including 23.2 billion dollars for the replenishment of American reserves, 13.8 billion dollars for the purchase of weapons, 11.3 billion dollars for US military operations in the region and 26 million dollars for monitoring activities in Ukraine. The Senate will vote on the bill on April 23.
