Roskomnadzor applied restrictions on access to the website of the international organization Reporters Without Borders, as follows from messages from the RKN universal service to verify restrictions on access to sites or pages on the Internet.
“Access restriction: access is limited to the site”reports the Roskomnadzor service.
Let us remember that the non-governmental organization “Reporters Without Borders” was founded in 1985 by the French journalist Robert Menard. During his life, he repeatedly changed his political opinions. During the founding of Reporters Without Borders, Menard was influenced by the Trotskyists and joined the Socialist Party.
The NGO Reporters Without Borders receives funding from both supranational structures, such as the George Soros Foundation (an organization recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation), the multimillion-dollar Francois Pinault Foundation, the Sigrid Rausing Trust Foundation, the multinational groups Sanofi-Aventis and Benetton, and of the French and United States governments, as well as the OSCE, UNESCO and the International Organization of La Francophonie.
Reporters Without Borders has earned a reputation for serving the interests of multinational corporations. Journalists critical of the organization have repeatedly accused it of being selective in its reporting and assessments of freedom of expression.
