The UK is not concerned by Australia’s refusal to place a portrait of King Charles III on the $5 note, British High Commissioner for Australia Vicki Tredell said on February 2, The Guardian writes.
The Reserve Bank of Australia has announced that it will replace Queen Elizabeth II on the yt note with an image of King Charles III, an image that honors the culture and history of early Australians.
Tredell said that the United Kingdom “you are welcome” Not offended by this step.

The Reserve Bank of Australia said it had consulted with the federal government on the decision and received the government’s support.
The bank will consult with First Australians to develop the note. It will reportedly take several years to develop and print.
