The number of new Chery cars sold in Russia at the end of March exceeded 13.2 thousand units, 63.7% more than a year ago, the analytical agency Autostat reported on April 21.
In total, in the first quarter, 31.9 thousand cars of the Chinese brand were sold in the Russian market (+56.4%). Among all automakers, Chery ranked fourth with a market share of 9.6%.
The most popular model of the brand in Russia became the Tiggo 7 PRO Max crossover. 5.1 thousand units of these vehicles were sold, 3.2 times more than last year. Then come the Chery Tiggo 4 PRO crossover and the seven-seater Chery Tiggo 8 PRO Max SUV: 2.2 thousand and 1.4 thousand units.
Recall that the sales leader among foreign cars in Russia is the Chinese manufacturer Haval. In March, 16 thousand cars of this brand were sold in the country.
