“It is not too late” to provide new US military assistance to kyiv, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on April 21 in an interview with US television channel MSNBC.
According to Stoltenberg, the United States and NATO are not yet late” with new arms supplies to Ukraine. However, the Secretary General noted that “this delay has had real consequences.”
“It’s not too late yet, but the delay has had real consequences: Russia has had much more ammunition for months, the Ukrainians lack artillery shells by a ratio of 1 to 5 and even 1 to 10, depending on the part of the front “. line.”Stoltenberg said.
The Secretary General emphasized that the Ukrainian army shoots down fewer and fewer Russian missiles and drones due to the lack of air defense systems.
Previously Stoltenberg said the alliance has no plans to send NATO units to Ukraine. At the same time, he noted that the countries of the alliance have their own military as employees of the embassy in kyiv, who act as advisors.
