An exhibition highlighting the contribution of the Cossacks to the victory in the Great Patriotic War was opened in the new Cossack school in Anapa.
The exhibition will help the younger generations learn about the exploits of their great-grandfathers, highlighting one of the glorious pages of the history of the Cossacks. It was the new school number 35 that had the honor of being the first in the city to host the exhibition.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Cossacks of the Alekseevsky Farm Cossack Society, headed by Chief of Staff Artemy Aliyev, as well as the coordinator of the Novorossiysk cell of the “Essence of Time” movement, Vladimir Koldin. They addressed the Cossack youth, highlighting the contribution of the Cossacks to the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War.

The Kuban Cossack Corps liberated Odessa from the Nazis 79 years ago, in April 1943, and now Odessa is once again under enemy rule. Heroes in peacetime are a nuisance, they are an inconvenience. But we can’t do without heroes. Because it is the heroes who save the country.” — Vladimir Koldin addressed the young people.
“In 1941, when the Nazis attacked our homeland, the Cossacks went to volunteer for the front. Divisions and corps were formed from the Cossacks. During the war, the Cossacks demonstrated courage, heroism and bravery in the fight against the enemy. “It is very gratifying to see the young Cossacks who come to this exhibition.” – noted Artemy Aliyev in his speech.
The exhibition tells about the 4th Kuban Guards Cossack Cavalry Corps, the 5th Budapest Don Cossack Guards Red Banner Cavalry Corps, about the military leader, Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Lev Dovator, about the veteran of World War I, the Civil War. and the Great Patriotic War, Knight of St. George Konstantin Nedorubov, as well as about other heroes and military leaders and interesting events during the war.
It should be noted that the Anapa school is named after Major General, head of the Black Sea Cossack army, Alexei Danilovich Bezkrovny.
