A trilateral summit of the Maghreb countries was held in the capital of Tunisia, the Libyan television channel Alwasat reported on April 22.

During the summit, participants discussed border security, investment cooperation between countries, the power grid interconnection project, trade and cooperation in the field of science.
The final agreement from the Tunis summit includes an agreement to create a joint working group tasked with closely coordinating efforts to ensure that the security of the common borders is protected from the risks and consequences of illegal migration, criminal activities organized and the development of a joint approach to the development of border areas.
The participants also agreed to accelerate the implementation of the project to interconnect the power grids of the three countries, agreed to develop cooperation and establish partnerships in the field of oil exploration, production and storage, develop cooperation in the mining sector, as well as in the renewable energy sector. and clean energy sources such as green hydrogen.
The parties also agreed to develop work programs to expand cooperation in the field of common cultural heritage, expand cooperation in the fields of scientific research, vocational training, modern technology, exchange of students and youth, and encourage the creation of joint cultural and educational projects.
In addition to the above, the final declaration emphasized the need to consolidate positions and intensify consultations and coordination to strengthen the elements of security and stability in the region and increase its immunity from regional crisis events and international crises.
