Cosmonauts of the Russian segment of the ISS conducted training in Orlan-ISS spacesuits within the framework of the VKD-62 program, the Roscosmos press service reported on April 23.
As part of the preparation program for space walks, the cosmonauts prepared a set of crew support equipment in the “Poisk” module, conducted the television report “Training in space suits”, checked the systems and controls of the space suits “Orlan-MKS” and the spacesuit docking systems with the plate in the “Search spacesuit” module.
The cosmonauts put on the equipment, checked the communications and checked the medical parameters, put on the spacesuits, closed the backpacks, preliminarily checked the fit of the spacesuits, checked the fit of the spacesuits, took out the Orlan-MKS spacesuits and they performed maintenance after training.
Recall that the 71st long-term Russian expedition continues on the ISS, in which Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolay Chub and Alexander Grebenkin participate. The spacewalk is scheduled for April 25 and 26.
