During the vote, 72 people voted in favor and 13 voted against moving forward with the package of four bills approved by the House. That’s more than 60 people needed to pave the way for a final vote this Tuesday or Wednesday.
Other proposals include a potential ban on the social media app TikTok, measures to transfer confiscated Russian assets to Ukraine and new sanctions against Iran.
