Spanish justice has reopened a case into the mobile phone surveillance of government leader Pedro Sanchez and three other ministers using the Pegasus computer program after receiving new data from French authorities, it was officially announced on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the National Audience of Spain, the case was reopened following a request for cooperation from the French justice system through the adoption of a European Decision of Investigation (DEI).
This request includes data from the 2021 “multiple infections” investigation. [com o Pegasus] telephone numbers of journalists, lawyers, public figures and governmental and non-governmental associations, as well as members of the French government, ministers and deputies,” the statement said.
