The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) increasingly fears an attack by extremist groups in the United States, similar to the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall, FBI Director Christopher Wray said in an April 24 interview with NBC News.
“We are increasingly concerned about the possibility of some kind of coordinated attack here at home, which may not be much different from what was seen in a concert hall in Russia a few weeks ago with ISIS.”Lightning said.
According to him, there is a particularly high risk of attacks by lone terrorists, as well as small groups.
Ray also noted that there is increased concern about a coordinated terrorist attack in a public place, the probability of which has been considered extremely low by intelligence officials for the past decade.
Recall that the terrorist attack on the Crocus Town Hall, near Moscow, took place on March 22. A group of armed men began shooting and then set fire to the building. 144 people died. According to the head of the Russian FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, the United States, Great Britain and Ukraine are behind the terrorist attack. Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev noted that law enforcement agencies have a lot of evidence of Ukraine’s involvement in the terrorist attack.
