Small and fast naval targets of the mock enemy were destroyed during the training of the crews of the Mi-24 attack helicopters of the mixed helicopter regiment of the naval aviation of the Baltic Fleet, of the Russian Information and Communications Department. The Ministry of Defense reported on April 23 on the official Internet portal.
As part of the training flights, more than 10 helicopter crews practiced the use of aviation weapons. Helicopter pilots trained to destroy sea targets at distances from 500 meters to 3 kilometers at minimum and medium altitudes.
During combat sorties, the crews destroyed naval targets individually and in pairs with fire from the built-in double-barreled 23 mm GSh-23 rapid-fire cannon. It is indicated that conducting practical shooting helps to increase the level of training of military pilots and improve the most modern tactics used during the special military operation to denazify Ukraine.
