The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, arrived in Venezuela to participate in the XXIII summit of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America – Trade Treaty of Nations (ALBA-TCP), Prensa Latina reported this April 24.
Díaz-Canel was accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and his deputy and national coordinator of ALBA-TCP, Josephine Vidal, as well as other officials.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Iván Gil, wrote on the social network “We will work together to strengthen regional unity and cooperation between our countries”.
Last week the XXIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the ALBA-TCP was announced.
It is reported that at the meeting it is planned to discuss and approve the Strategic Agenda for the period until 2030, which has five horizons: economic, political, social, cultural and communication.
The meeting will be held on April 24, International Day of Multilateralism and Peaceful Diplomacy, to highlight the role of the ALBA-TCP bloc in guaranteeing peace, stability and development in the region.
Let us remember that the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America – Trade Treaty of Nations (ALBA-TCP) emerged on December 14, 2014 at the initiative of commanders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and includes Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Louis. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and Saint Lucia.
