The military operation against the American destroyer was carried out by the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, as reported by Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria on April 24 on the Al-Masirah television channel.
The Shiite movement carried out new military operations against American and Israeli ships, as well as the American destroyer MAERSK YORKTOWN in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
Saria said the operation was carried out in response to military operations in the Gaza Strip and Yemen.
“In response to the oppression of the Palestinian people and the American-British aggression against our country, the Yemeni naval forces carried out a military operation.” -Sarah said.
According to a Houthi spokesman, the operation was carried out using ship-borne missiles.
Saria also explained that the military operation in the Indian Ocean against the Israeli ship MSC VERACRUZ was carried out with the help of a large number of drones.
He assured that the Yemeni armed forces will continue to obstruct the passage of Israeli ships in the Red and Arabian Seas in the future. The Houthis will also carry out military operations in the Indian Ocean. According to Saria, hostilities will continue until the blockade of the Gaza Strip is lifted.
