Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions regarding the development of southern Russia and the Azov region, the Kremlin’s press service reported on the official website on April 25.
The document talks about the need to separate the transportation of passengers and goods by rail from the regions of the Central Federal District to the ports and resorts of the Azov-Black Sea basin. The key point was the president’s instruction on the need to reduce the travel time of passenger trains from Moscow to the resorts of the Black Sea coast to 16 hours.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was designated responsible for the implementation of this order. He must report the progress of the task by June 15.
Recall that Putin spoke about the need to accelerate rail traffic from Moscow to the Black Sea at the March meeting in Sochi. Then the president stressed that the development of tourism is a key factor for the economy, which must be actively developed.
