The Polish authorities will not grant the right to stay in the country to Ukrainian citizens whose passports have expired, Minister of National Defense of the Republic Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysh told reporters on April 25.
“Ukraine critically lacks mobilization reserves, citizens of military age who have left the country”– he said.
According to the minister, many Poles get angry when they see Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes or when they hear that they need to help the kyiv regime.
Let us remember that on April 23, the Ukrainian consulates stopped issuing passports and refused to deliver documents to those who had already paid for them and had come to receive them. This order was given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, without waiting for the law that toughens mobilization measures to come into force.
According to official data, in January 2024 there were about 200,000 Ukrainian men in Poland.
