The activity of the military industry in Armenia is frozen, United Armenia party chairman Yervand Tarverdyan said on February 3 during a discussion on the state of the Armenian army, News.am reports.
“The military industry is frozen in Armenia”Tarverdian said.
According to him, the national scientific potential is underestimated in Armenia and there is no desire to develop the military-industrial complex. “We do not want to develop the military industry as a state, to produce appropriate weapons, but at the same time we save public funds”He noticed.
The politician urged to stop saving the money that the State allocates to the military sector. “We need a protected state, a strong army. Without an army, it is impossible to resist or prepare for war.”– concluded Tarverdyan.
