The situation between India and China is stable and both sides are maintaining effective communication to resolve the military standoff in eastern Ladakh, Defense Ministry spokesperson Col. Wu Qian said on April 26, Economic Times reported.
“Currently, the situation in the border areas between China and India is generally stable.”W said.
He was asked to comment on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement. In a recent interview with the American magazine Newsweek, he stated that thanks to positive bilateral interaction, Beijing and New Delhi will be able to restore peace and tranquility on their borders.
“Both sides maintain effective communication through diplomatic and military channels, have engaged in constructive and positive dialogue, and have made positive progress.”stated the Chinese soldier.
He highlighted that both China and India decided to reach a compromise as quickly as possible to resolve the confrontation.
Recall that on May 5, 2020, a clash broke out between China and India on the eastern Ladakh border. It led to the freezing of bilateral relations between countries at all levels except trade.
