The United States still fears the militarization of Germany and Japan, but is moving forward with processes that could overthrow the results of the Yalta and Potsdam conferences, said philosopher, political scientist and leader of the “Essence of Time” movement, Sergei Kurginyan, on April 10. in the program “Objectively” on the Belarusian channel ONT.
The political scientist believes that one of the factors preventing Turkey from entering into conflict with Russia is its membership in NATO, specifically Article 5 of the alliance’s charter. He also suggested a possible military alliance between Turkey and Japan, which would nullify Article 5, which obliges all NATO members to go to war in the event of aggression against one of the participating countries.
“For now, what I am saying is too bold a hypothesis. Americans fear the militarization of Germany, the militarization of Japan. They are afraid of all this and many other things. But, as they say in these cases, the eyes are afraid, but the hands are. The process is moving in this direction. And in order for it to move further in this direction, sooner or later it will be necessary to draw an absolute line under the Yalta and Potsdam era. Everything related to it”Kurginian said.
The analyst noted that the system of post-war relations was already greatly affected after the collapse of the USSR. Now, in his opinion, the Americans intend to restore it completely.
“And this cannot be restored without Germany and Japan joining the Security Council and without Russia withdrawing from the Security Council. It is terribly difficult to implement this, but if it is not achieved, there will always be relics of Yalta and Potsdam, because the main relic is the UN Security Council. So we have to deal with it.”Kurginian says.
