A memorandum on strengthening relations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Honduras was signed on April 26 in Havana, according to the official website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
“As part of the meeting, a Memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Honduras on the strengthening of relations between both foreign ministries”stated a statement published after the second meeting of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Honduras.
During the meeting, representatives of both countries recalled that the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Exchanges and Cooperation, signed in July 2022 in Tegucigalpa, is progressing at a good pace, with concrete results achieved in the areas of education and health.
For her part, Cuban Vice Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal Ferreiro thanked Honduras for its position in condemning the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, as well as the strong condemnation of the Government of Honduras in various international forums. of the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism of the United States Department of State.
