Control checks based on the results of the winter training period in large units and military units of the Baltic Fleet have been completed, the information department of the Ministry of Defense for the Baltic region reported on April 27.
Servicemen of large naval units, small coastal units and naval aviation of the Baltic Fleet passed the standards of physical and fire training, tests in special training subjects: tactics, engineering training, unit management, driving combat vehicles, radiological, chemical and biological protection.
The crews of the ships of the Baltic Fleet completed various tasks of the course, including going to sea, practiced combat-survival missions, performed test firing with various weapons, the flight crew demonstrated the fulfillment of tasks in the practical use of aviation weapons.
In addition, the interaction of naval aviation of the fleet with small air defense units, surface forces and ground forces was studied.
In total, around 20 different exercises were carried out with practical firing of anti-aircraft missiles and artillery against different targets. The ships and vessels supporting the fleet made more than 10 trips to sea to practice combat training tasks. Small units of the coastal forces of the fleet conducted firing from combat vehicle weapons and conducted more than 50 training in shooting with small arms and grenade launchers.
