The sowing campaign has begun in the soil of the Vologda region, the press service of the government of the Vologda region reports on April 27.
“This year we have allocated about 4 billion rubles to subsidize agriculture. Of these, 298 million are subsidies for the purchase of machinery and equipment, including 100 million for small businesses.” – said the head of the region Georgy Filimonov.
According to Filimonov, the increase in agricultural production should be 1.5% compared to the 2023 level.
The planted area in 2024 is 336.5 thousand hectares. 136.3 thousand hectares will be occupied by rapeseed, potatoes, vegetables and flax.
The spring crop area has increased by 3 thousand hectares. The region plans to produce 184 thousand tons of potatoes and 179 thousand tons of cereals, 48.3 thousand tons of vegetables, 4.5 thousand tons of rapeseed, about a thousand tons of flax fiber and feed.
10 thousand hectares of land will be allocated for agricultural use.
The supply of seeds and planting material in the region is 110%. About 30 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were brought to the region.
