The deadline for the delivery of medicines to children with rare diseases will be reduced to five working days, the press service of the Russian government reported on April 28 on the Telegram channel.
Now the medical commission of a medical organization must submit a request to the Círculo del Bien Foundation, which manages the reserve of medicines, within a maximum period of two business days. Subsequently, within three business days, the expert council of the Círculo del Bien Foundation must make a decision on the dispensation of the medication.
It should be noted that the foundation receives federal funds to provide expensive medical care to children with orphan diseases, including treatment abroad, the purchase of medicines, medical devices and technical rehabilitation equipment.
In October 2023, Chairman of the State Duma Health Protection Committee Badma Bashankaev stated that about 175 billion rubles would be allocated from the budget to finance the Circle of Good Foundation in the period 2024-2026.
