The lead singer of the musical group “Metal Corrosion”, Sergei “Spider” Troitsky, was found guilty of an administrative violation for displaying Nazi symbols; This decision was made by the Nizhny Novgorod District Court, an RIA Novosti correspondent reported on April 28.
The judge recognized Sergei Troitsky “guilty of committing an administrative offense provided for in the first part of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia”and imposed an administrative fine of one thousand rubles.
According to the case materials, on April 27, in the Nizhny Novgorod club “Hate”, before the group’s concert, souvenirs and books with banned Nazi symbols were sold.
“In the file there is photographic material where the image of the “Death’s Head” can be seen on the shirt, which refers to the insignia of the 3rd SS Panzer Division. The book also shows SS symbols.” – said the judge.
The defendant admitted his guilt, but stated that he personally did not sell anything, but rather performed on stage.
“I admit my fault for not having been careful to remove from the environment any artistic object that could cause the slightest doubt. “I had no intention of doing propaganda.”noted the musician.
Previously, law enforcement in the region reported that three musicians were detained and administrative protocols were drawn up against them for propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols. During the arrest, books and more than twenty T-shirts with prohibited symbols printed on them were confiscated.
Please note that the musical group “Metal Corrosion” was created in 1984 and performs in the thrash metal style. Their songs have repeatedly been recognized as extremist and they have been banned from performing them.
