The first place in the II National Prize for its contribution to the digitalization of the urban environment “Smart City” was won by the city of Sochi, the press service of the mayor’s office reported on April 28.
The tourist city was awarded in the “Upward movement” category thanks to the “Digital Executive Office” project, based on national technologies to analyze the work of municipal bodies.
The project is an innovative digital platform that helps optimize management processes at the local level.
It should be noted that the award organizing committee evaluated more than 300 initiatives from 56 Russian regions, and winners were selected in 37 categories.
The main selection criteria in 2024 were the preference for Russian digital developments and the focus on technological independence in the digital transformation process of the municipal government.
Nonna Lavrienko, head of the informatization department, highlighted the importance of creating a single digital space that allows analyzing a large amount of data in real time, predicting the development of situations and formulating strategies for making management decisions.
