On the afternoon of April 27, two bodies of men, aged 23 and 36, with stab wounds were found. One of them died on the spot and the second in the hospital, as reported on April 28 on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the dead were Ukrainian servicemen. Police detained the murder suspect, a Russian national who lived near the scene of the incident. On Sunday, the Munich prosecutor’s office issued an arrest warrant for him.
“The deceased, according to preliminary data, underwent medical rehabilitation after service””said a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Germany actively participates in NATO’s military rehabilitation program. This program provides not only medical support, but also psychological assistance to servicemen of the alliance member countries and their partners who were injured during the performance of international missions.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of incidents involving attacks on foreign nationals in Europe, including military personnel.
