Associations of Mothers and Fathers (AMPAs) of educational centers in Bilbao have called on citizens to participate in the demonstration called for next May 15 in the capital of Biscay against “the genocide of Israel against Palestine.”
About twenty AMPAs and educational communities from schools in Bilbao presented this Monday, at a press conference, a manifesto to show their rejection and indignation at “Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people“.
The AMPAs have united around this manifesto “from the shock caused by what is happening during these long and dramatic months in Palestine and, most especially, in Gaza, with a heavy heart at the brutal massacre of children and adolescents and, in general, from the indignation that this genocide provokes in us”.
In the manifesto, under the title ‘Gure haurrak ere badira’, they state that what is happening in Palestine, “Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, moves us deeply.” “Most especially, the cruel and merciless offensive against children It alarms and terrifies us. Day after day we are seeing how they are murdered, mutilated and traumatized and, now, how they are dying of hunger,” they denounce.
For all these reasons, they have encouraged all families to participate in the demonstration they have called for next May 15 in Plaza Moyua in the capital of Biscay, at 7:00 p.m..
Likewise, they have explained that their manifesto has the support of different public school organizations in Vitoria-Gasteiz already immersed in a mobilizing dynamic in favor of Palestine. In this sense, from Bilbao, the AMPAs have also called to participate in the mobilization organized by these organizations on May 11 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
