The first commercial operation at the international gas hub should take place in 2023, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez told reporters on February 4.
“We are preparing to carry out the first commercial operation this year”he said.
The minister emphasized that the works for the creation of the Natural Gas Distribution and Trade Center in Turkey are nearing completion.
At the same time, the representatives of all the states with which Turkey negotiated declared their readiness to support this gas center project.
Earlier, Fatih Donmez said that Turkey’s top priority is to ensure its own energy security. At the same time, an increase in supplies through the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline will contribute to the energy security of both Turkey and Europe.
