The head of the National Democratic Alternative (ADN) list for the European elections, João Amaral Díaz, will file a criminal complaint for attacks and offenses committed on April 25 in the Praça do Comércio square in Lisbon.
The politician captured this moment on video, which he shared on social networks.
“During filming in front of a tank displayed in Praça do Comércio, Joana Amaral Díaz was insulted, threatened and attacked by unknown people,” ADN said in a statement.
ADN also reports that one of the victims is a member of the Socialist Party.
“Joana Amaral Díaz feared for her physical integrity and even for her life, since she was in front of a crowd that was incited by people who insulted her and physically attacked her, and if she had not been removed in time by the president of the ADN “Bruno Fialho, we would not We know what could have happened,” they add.
The party believes that the actions of the individuals reported go beyond the scope of freedom of speech.
