Bulgarian citizens were threatened and beaten at the border with the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM), the Vazrazhdane party reported on February 4, Bulgarian National Radio reports.
Among the victims is Angel Georgiev, a member of parliament for convocations 47 and 48, according to members of the Vazrazzhdane party.
Georgiev filmed what was happening at the border with his phone. A video posted on Facebook (an organization banned in the Russian Federation) shows a line of cars. Georgiev reports that cars are not allowed to pass for several hours.
After a citizen approached him and complained that a man had been taken to the border service building from a car with a Bulgarian license plate, the deputy tried to get information about the reason. He was approached by uniformed officers with orders to stop filming, he refused and the video shows a struggle.
Remember that February 4 is the day of memory of the famous Bulgarian revolutionary Gotse Delchev, who is also revered in North Macedonia and is considered a Macedonian.
