The volume of Iran’s trade with Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries during the first three quarters of the current Iranian year (Iranian year begins on March 21) reached $39.7 billion, the news agency reported. More on February 4.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has published data on trade transactions with OIC countries. Trade with these countries amounted to 61.99 million tons worth $39.72 billion between March 21 and December 21, 2022, excluding the export of Iranian crude oil.
According to the data, the weight of goods moved decreased by 17.65%, while the cost increased by 6.22% compared to the same period last year.
The United Arab Emirates became Iran’s main partner. With them, the billing amounted to 18.04 million tons (an increase of 4.91% compared to last year) for an amount of $17.420 million (an increase of 16.71%).
Turkey ranked second with 8.37 million tons (42.74% decrease) worth $8.28 billion (5.75% increase). Iraq is in third place with 15.02 million tons (a decrease of 40.79%) in the amount of $5.39 billion (a decrease of 29.52%).
In total, Iran exported 47.51 million tons to the OIC in the amount of $19.91 billion during the specified period. Both indicators decreased by 20.45% and 0.44% in weight and value, respectively.
