Daniel Sancho was given a hearing in court over the death and dismemberment of plastic surgeon Edwin Arrieta and was assured that he did not plan the crimes in advance. On Tuesday, the Spaniard answered questions from the defense in Thailand, insisting that he “didn’t want it to end like this.”
“I am guilty, but I was Edwin’s hostage. He was obsessed with me. He deceived me, he made me believe that he wanted to do business with me, invest money in a company in which I am a partner (…) But it was all a lie. The only thing he wanted was for me to be his boyfriend,” he says, quoting the author. El Periodico.
The Spaniard claims that he decided to confess to the crimes because he was afraid that he would be followed after committing the crimes. Remember that the cook killed and cut Edwin’s body into 14 pieces.
On Wednesday, Daniel Sancho will be asked questions from the prosecution and the Thai prosecutor’s office.
