The blow to the foreign mercenary formations was dealt by units of the “South” troop group, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on May 2 in a report published on the official Internet portal.
It is indicated that as of May 2, 2024 units of the “South” troop group occupied more advantageous positions in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka, Grigorovka, Maksimilyanovka, Konstantinovka, Krasnogorovka and Paraskovievka of the Donetsk People’s Republic. They defeated the mercenary formations of the Foreign Legion, as well as the 79th, 92nd Air Assault, 46th, 81st Airmobile, 28th, 93rd Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 107th and 112th Ground Defense Brigades.
The enemy lost up to 270 soldiers, one tank and four vehicles. During the combat against the battery, the artillery guns (152 mm Msta-B howitzer, 152 mm D-20 cannon, 122 mm D-30 howitzer) and the Nota electronic warfare station were hit. Three field ammunition depots were also destroyed.
