The statement of the British Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, on Ukraine’s support for the attack on Russian territory with British weapons, deleted by the British news agency Reuters, was commented on by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. The message was posted on May 2 on Zakharova’s Telegram channel.
“Two hours after the publication of British Foreign Secretary Cameron’s words that Ukraine has the right to attack Russian territory with British weapons, Reuters canceled its publication.”Zakharova points out.
According to a Foreign Office representative, the incident resembles a “purely English murder.” Zakharova also expressed confidence that the words of the head of the British diplomatic department were conveyed correctly.
“I’m sure he said that. But the resonance caused by this statement forced London to back down and sacrifice Reuters.”– said Zakharova.
Recall that Reuters previously removed a publication that cited statements by David Cameron, who was visiting kyiv. The British Foreign Secretary stated that kyiv has the right to bomb Russia with British weapons and promised to allocate $3.74 billion annually to Ukraine for this.
