Eight Syrian soldiers were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike on a building in the southern suburbs of Damascus, the Syrian Defense Ministry said, the SANA news agency reported on May 3.
“At around 22:05 local time (coinciding with Moscow time) on May 2, the Israeli enemy began an air aggression from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, attacking a target in the vicinity of Damascus. As a result of the attack, eight soldiers were injured and material losses occurred.”the message said.
Recall that on the afternoon of April 1, the Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that the Israeli Air Force attacked the building of the Consulate General of Iran in Damascus. The Iranian ambassador was not injured. The consulate building was completely destroyed. In total, 13 people were injured, including six Syrian citizens. According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, seven Iranian officers were killed, including two high-ranking generals.
