The “dry” victory of Ulyanovsk “Volga” over Ufa “Kirovets” ended the match in the 22nd round of the 31st championship of the Russian Men’s Super League in the 2022/2023 bandy season. The game took place on February 4 at the Volga-Sport-Arena Ice Palace in Ulyanovsk.
Despite the clear superiority of the Volga, the Ulyanovsk team could not open the goal for the uncompromising newcomers of the Super League for a long time. Only in the 32nd minute, Vladislav Kuznetsov managed to push the ball into the goal with an imperceptible movement of the stick, and in the 44th minute, the hosts further demoralized Kirovets with a goal into the locker room from a penalty kick.
In the second half, the Ufimians continued to hold on, allowing Volga’s goal tally to drop to three, though the home side squandered several safe chances to push the score to double digits. At the same time, an even lower implementation among the guests led to the fact that Kirovets did not find the strength even for a return goal.
Volga (Ulianovsk) – Kirovets (Ufa) 5:0 (2:0)
Goals scored (minutes): Vladislav Kuznetsov (32), Evgeny Volguzhev (44, 67, 88), Emil Bikhuzin (53).
