The company says that, as part of a global order worth more than €100 million, six radars will be delivered this year. This means that Hensoldt currently has a total of more than 50 air defense radars of this type on contract for various customers.
HENSOLDT CEO Oliver Dörre said: “Ukrainian air defense urgently needs our radars and we are proud to be able to deliver all systems this year. “Feedback from our customers confirms how important rapid availability of radar is to protecting citizens.”.
TRML-4D is based on the latest AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar technology. It provides rapid detection and tracking of about 1,500 targets within a radius of up to 250 kilometers. The radar is capable of quickly and reliably detecting, tracking and classifying all types of air targets: cruise missiles, drones and aircraft, as well as helicopters.
