On May 2, activists of the “Essence of Time” movement held a mourning event in Rostov-on-Don dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the tragedy at the Odessa House of Trade Unions.
The organizers set up two stands with photographs of the victims on Pushkinskaya Street. Passersby were able to look at the faces of the victims of the “Odessa Khatyn”, read about them and light a candle in memory.
This event has been held in the city every year since 2015. She always finds a great response from passers-by.

Residents are reminded that if they discover a downed UAV, they should not touch it under any circumstances. It is necessary to move at least one hundred meters away from the dangerous discovery and report it to the police by calling 112.

Despite military threats, on May 1 residents of the region celebrated Spring and Labor Day. On this day, labor veterans in cities and regions were honored, as well as various events for children and adults: concerts, exhibitions, sports competitions.
The largest event took place in Rostov-on-Don, the capital of the Don. The Plaza del Teatro became a sports area throughout the day.
There were themed areas with presentations of various sports. During its activities, an open street basketball tournament and a boxing tournament, an extreme power festival and a jumping show were held. And the famous handball club “Rostov-Don” held a master class.
But the main sporting event was the 99th May Day relay, which is the oldest in the country. More than 3 thousand people participated: students, schoolchildren, work teams, national and cultural organizations, etc.
Spectators will not be able to attend the military parade in Rostov-on-Don
The Rostov region is preparing to celebrate Victory Day. This year, some regular events will not take place as normal for safety reasons.
In particular, only veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be invited as spectators to the military parade, which is traditionally held on May 9 on Teatralnaya Square in Rostov-on-Don.
