The PSP and ASAE carried out a surveillance operation in Alcantara, Lisbon this Saturday morning as part of the fight against nightclub violence, which resulted in the suspension of activities at the Krystal nightclub.
The PSP statement says that it carried out the search warrant after some riots at the facility and that this action was carried out with the cooperation of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), the Food and Economic Health Authority (ASAE) and the Portuguese Tax Authority (B).
The action, which began around 3:15 am, ended with the seizure of small quantities of drugs, namely hashish, heroin and ecstasy, the receipt of an offense notice from the tax office for not issuing an invoice, one for lack of access control/counting people inside, and a notice of an administrative offense for non-compliance with sanitary and hygienic conditions at the workplace, which entailed the suspension of activities until an additional check by the OSAE.
During the searches, more than 400 people inside the disco were searched.
