Several rivers in the Crimean mountains have dried up. This was announced by the director of the research and production company “Water Technologies”, Anatoly Kopachevsky, on May 5 on the radio “Sputnik in Crimea”.
He noted that this is considered a normal and natural spring phenomenon. This is because the “snow reserves” in the mountains have dried up.
At the same time, he noted that mountain rivers may not dry up completely.
“Below the visible channel is also the so-called filtering part: the lower part. “When rivers dry up on the surface, in the visible part, then, as a rule, for a long time we can talk about flow under the river.”“explained the specialist.
Therefore, springs fed by groundwater or groundwater will continue to function precisely because of these underchannel flows.
Kopachevsky also stressed that 2024 and 2025 will not be dry years for Crimea.
