
The Kamchatka territorial rapid and blitz chess championships between men and women were held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Information about this was published on May 4 on the website of the Russian Chess Federation.
It is reported that athletes from Elizov, Vilyuchinsk, the Milkovsky municipal district and the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district took part in the chess competitions.
In the men’s competition, the FIDE master from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Alexey Spitsyn won. He became champion in both blitz and rapid chess, scoring 8.5 points out of 9.
Matvey Kucherov took second place in the blitz tournament. In third place is Arseniy Lysov. In the rapid test, Prokhor Kapitonenko took second place. Arseniy Lysov won bronze.
Elena Emelyanova won the women’s lightning event. Valeria Goncharenko took second place. In third place is Nadezhda Sazonova. In women’s rapid chess, Nadezhda Sazonova took first place, Elena Emelyanova took second and Ksenia Kokoreva took third.
