
The 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank was opened in Georgia in the presence of the country’s Prime Minister, the press service of the government administration reported on May 5.
At the official reception, the President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsuga Asakawa, was personally received by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. The reception was also attended by meeting delegates and members of the Georgian government.
“We are honored to host the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank and such distinguished guests in Tbilisi, Georgia. We are satisfied with our friendship and cooperation, which has a very solid foundation. I hope you have a nice time in Georgia. “I thank the organizers of the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank and all the people involved in this process,” – said Kobakhidze.
This year’s meeting will be held under the title “Bridge to the Future”, which is explained by its connection with the geographical, economic and political position of Georgia. This is the first time that an event of this format is held in the country; Nearly 4,000 guests from 68 countries participate in it.
