A 67-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured due to smoke inhalation in a fire that broke out in a room on the fifth floor of a building on Rua Fábrica das Moagens nº1, in Beato, Lisbon. , on Monday morning there is a fair.
The two injured, two women, were treated at the scene and taken to the San Jose hospital. The fatal victim was bedridden, and his wife, granddaughter and great-grandson were still in the house where he lived.
Residents reported seeing smoke and hearing an explosion.
Judging by the CM’s findings, the elevators are in poor condition, and the cause of the fire could have been wet elevator cables.
The alarm was declared at 6:00 am. Firefighters, INEM, PSP and Civil Defense were mobilized to the scene, but the fire had already been extinguished.
The CM knows that not the entire building had to be evacuated, but only the fifth and sixth floors.
